My butt and legs will be sore tomorrow! Haven’t ridden my bicycle for months, but decided today that i need to start excercising and exploring my new surroundings. Riding up the hills were tough, but the sights were delightful . . . AND as i was cycling through the bush i heard this thump! thump! thump! a kangaroo running through the bush in fright from the noise i was making, passed right in front of me at full speed – he was a big one, couldn’t retrieve my camera fast enough to take a photo.
I mean how cool is this, out and about on my bicycle and along beside me out of the bush, on the bike track, skips a kangaroo. He gave me a fright too!
I cycled further along the track down to the waters edge of the Basin and took a few photos. A storm was brewing, got a bit wet, but luckily for me the wind was behind me on the way home.
- Basin View – south coast NSW, Australia
- wild flowers starting to bloom along track
- view across Basin View with storm brewing
- windy forming white caps on the water

You have no idea how exotic that all looks and sounds. Kangaroo’s, my goodness!
